Sprite range enhanced for 2016
Sprite, Swift Group’s top selling caravan range has been considerable enhanced for 2016. With the launch of the new Sprite Freedom, the Sprite range now moves to mid-range level.
Swift’s award-winning SMART intelligent construction system has been enhanced for 2016 to SMART Plus, which includes three key enhancements: 1. A new sandwich floor construction with a GRP outer skin providing greater durability from the elements. The floor is still framed with Pure for additional strength and for fixing to the chassis and walls. All outer surfaces are now made from non-hygroscopic materials. 2. The roof has also been upgraded and is now in hail resistant GRP and 3. The front window jig is now a full GRP and foam construction. This reduces the amount of parts in the panel and gives the panel a flatter and stiffer surface for the front GRP panel and windows to fix to.
The Sprite range has a look of the higher ranges for 2016 with three opening windows replacing its single front window. New graphics and screen printed Seitz C6 windows with graphite grey tint complete the more upmarket feel. Side marker running lights are now LED.
Fixing bars have been added to allow a Thule rear mounted cycle rack to be fitted by the owner. A Shakespeare directional digital and analogue TV aerial have also been added.
Inside new ‘Elodie’ soft furnishings feature warm grey woven seating fabric with complementary curtains in an abstract leaf design in shades of grey, lime green and charcoal. The current optional ‘Darwin’ scheme continues for the 2016 season. TV brackets, where fitted, have the addition of a travel lock.
All interior lighting moves to low energy LED and where fitted the bi-fold sliding shower door is now retained on a track for ease of use. Vanity taps now swivel for improved use and the new Ecocamel Orbit shower head has an on/off button to further conserve water.
High specification features like the Duvalay Duvalite mattress and Truma Combi boiler remain. A new digital control panel has been fitted to control the heating and hot water. As an additional dealer fitted upgrade this can be controlled via a Truma iNet box to allow remote control and monitoring of the Truma boiler heating system.
The Sprite range stays at eight models from the compact 2-berth Alpine 2 to the family-sized 6-berth Quattro FB twin-axle model and the ever popular Diamond pack is so well priced that it is always selected. This provides stylish Scorpion alloy wheels and a door flyscreen to the one piece, flush fitting exterior door. Other pack features include an AL-KO stabiliser, AL-KO wheel-lock receiver, microwave oven, radio/CD/MP3 player and scatter cushions
The new Sprite Freedom range is aimed at the first time buyer and all models are light weight making them suitable for most family cars. The three layout mirror the Major 6, Major6TD and Quattro FB from the standard Sprite range.
Specification is lower but is by no means classed as basic. Options in this range include, Al KO ATC trailer control, alarm, microwave, loose fit carpets and a Thule cycle rack.
