Swift Caravans started in 1964 and has grown to become the UK’s largest touring caravan manufacturer. With an annual turnover of over £300m, Swift invests heavily in research and development so that every detail of a Swift caravan is built to last and be luxuriously comfortable.

History of the Swift caravans
Swift Leisure, the British company that makes Swift caravans, was founded in 1964 by Ken Smith, who built his first caravan, The Ten, in Hull. By 1970, Swift had expanded to six models and 30 dealers in the UK, davan was one of the first 30 dealers. In 2014, Swift celebrated its 50th anniversary by launching the SMART HT, the first fully composite caravan without timber or ply. Today, Swift is the UK's largest manufacturer of caravans, motorhomes, and holiday homes.
SWIFT SMART CONSTRUCTION, PROTECTIVE GRP OUTER SHELL & 10-YEAR WARRANTIES AS STANDARD
The Swift GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) is manufactured on-site, making it a robust and resilient construction material. The thickness of the outer and inner GRP body skins are the same, creating a balanced construction panel, which means that the caravan can expand and contract at different temperatures. Swift’s GRP is also impact and scratch-resistant, making your caravan’s great looks and value last longer. Uniquely, the Swift GRP inner skin doesn’t use jointing tape, resulting in a jointless sealing in the walls, which are then embellished with decorative finishes.
All Swift caravans for sale are built using timberless body frames and a technologically advanced GRP outer body shell. This results in a lighter, moisture-resistant touring caravan that offers both durability and impact resistance while maintaining streamlined good looks. For added peace of mind, Swift provides multiple warranties, including their industry-leading 10-year bodyshell warranty, ensuring extra reassurance for customers.
