After 19 years of service, we have bid farewell to our much-loved service technician Kevin Davis as he retired at the end of 2021. Kevin joined Davan in July 2002, coming from a job in landscaping. He had previously worked in the caravan industry in the late 70’s to early 80’s, so he already had plenty of knowledge and experience. Over the following years that very valuable knowledge and experience has been passed down to our Workshop team, all of whom have learned massively as a result.
Instrumental in our workshop team development
Kevin has always been the ‘go-to’ man within Davan workshops for all of our technicians and fitters and has been instrumental in the development of many of his colleagues. His knowledge of the workings of all leisure vehicles is second to none. He has always been a very valued member of the workshop team and he will be greatly missed, not just for his skills but being a great person to work with.
A special token of our appreciation
In order to say a proper “goodbye and good luck” we had a get-together of the whole team on Christmas Eve to wish him a fond farewell and present him with a special token of our appreciation. Kevin is a massive motorcycle racing fan and keen follower of world champion Valentino Rossi. So, what better gift could we give him than a replica Valentino Rossi motorcycle helmet in a glass presentation case.
A well-earned retirement and we wish him the very best
Kevin is now looking forward to his well-earned retirement, although he tells us that the list of jobs his wife has ready for him, will keep him busier than he’s ever been. We wish him a long and happy retirement and thank him for the many years loyal service.
